Hartfield & Co. Family Reserve 9 Year is a limited single-barrel, cask-strength Kentucky Straight Bourbon produced in Paris, Bourbon County, Kentucky. Originally introduced in October 2024 to commemorate ten years since Hartfield & Co. returned legal bourbon production to Bourbon County, each release comes from an individual barrel, so proof and some specifications can vary by barrel.
Food Pairing: Pairs well with smoked brisket, grilled steak, barbecue ribs, aged cheddar, roasted pecans, maple desserts and dark chocolate.
Tasting Notes: A mature, full-bodied bourbon with concentrated dark fruit, maple sweetness, oak and warming spice.
Nose: Dark cherry and maple with mature oak undertones.
Palate: Rich and deep, with maple sweetness carrying through the palate alongside aged oak and bourbon spice.
Finish: Long and lingering with maple, oak and light spice.
Serve: Best enjoyed neat or with a few drops of water to open up the cask-strength character.
