Hard Truth Sweet Mash Rye 113 Proof is a rye whiskey bottled at 113 proof (56.5% ABV) in a 750 ml bottle. It is made in Indiana using the sweet mash process, in which each fermentation starts fresh rather than carrying over from the previous batch.
The result is a bold rye character set against a natural sweetness, giving the whiskey a profile that sits apart from much of the American whiskey tradition.
On the palate and nose: spicy rye and caramel sweetness, with clove and a peppery finish.
