Green Spot is a 100% pure pot still Irish whiskey with a rich history dating back to the early 1900s, when Jameson sold whiskey to Dublin wine merchants, Mitchell & Son. Today, this multi-award-winning Irish whiskey is still proudly produced exclusively for Mitchell & Son, maintaining its legacy as one of the most highly prized single pot still Irish whiskeys.
Crafted at Midleton Distillery, Green Spot is made from a blend of 7 to 12-year-old pot still whiskeys, with 25% of the spirit matured in sherry casks, contributing to its complex and balanced flavour profile. Aged in a selection of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks, it offers a perfectly harmonious expression of Irish whiskey craftsmanship.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose – Fresh aromatic oils and spices with orchard fruits and barley, set against a background of toasted wood.
- Taste – A full-bodied, spicy whiskey with hints of cloves and the fruity sweetness of green apples, rounded off with toasted oak.
- Finish – Lingering flavours of spices and barley, leaving a warm, satisfying aftertaste.
Made in very limited quantities, Green Spot is an exceptional collector’s whiskey and a must-have for those looking to buy premium Irish whiskey. Whether you are a seasoned whiskey enthusiast or a newcomer exploring the world of single pot still Irish whiskey, this highly sought-after release promises a truly authentic Irish whiskey experience.
