Graham's 20 Year Old Tawny Port originates from Portugal, specifically from the Douro Valley region and the Porto subregion. Founded in 1820 by brothers William and John Graham, the house has spent over two centuries building a reputation as one of the most prestigious names in Port. The estate is currently owned by the Symington family, who oversee five iconic vineyards—Quinta dos Malvedos, Quinta do Tua, Quinta das Lages, Quinta da Vila Velha, and Quinta do Vale de Malhadas—to source the finest grapes. The winemaking philosophy is defined by three 'unique arts': the art of blending, the art of cooperage, and the art of ageing, aimed at achieving the perfect balance between the vibrancy of young wines and the complexity of aged ones.
Wine Description
This fortified wine presents a brilliant amber, golden tawny colour and a rich, medium-to-full body. The sensory profile is deeply complex, featuring an excellent bouquet with a characteristic nutty aroma alongside mature fruit notes of raisin, dried apricot, and orange peel. On the palate, it is softly sweet and smooth, delivering flavours of toffee, caramel, honey, and dried figs, balanced by a fresh acidity and hints of toasted almonds. The finish is remarkably long and elegant, showcasing a persistent 'caramel-goodness' and a subtle touch of spice.
Varietal Composition: A traditional field blend typically consisting of Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Amarela, and Alicante Bouschet.
