Gordon & MacPhail Connoisseur's Choice Isle Of Jura 1997 Cask 9016 is a single cask Island single malt Scotch whisky produced at the Isle of Jura Distillery. Distilled in 1997, it was matured in a single cask (Cask #9016) before being bottled at cask strength by independent bottler Gordon & MacPhail for their Connoisseurs Choice range.
Food Pairing: Pan-seared scallops, roasted pork tenderloin, smoked salmon, creamy cheeses, or lemon fruit tarts.
Tasting Notes : Bright golden amber in appearance with a smooth, medium-to-full body and rich mouthfeel.
Nose : Delicate orchard fruit, ripe tropical fruit, citrus peel, and gentle honey.
Palate : Warming malt sweetness with notes of stewed fruits, soft citrus, light spice, and subtle oak character.
Finish : Medium-to-long, clean, and warming with lingering fruit sweetness and gentle wood spice.
Serve : Serve neat at room temperature in a Glencairn or tulip-shaped tasting glass, or with a few drops of water to open up the aromas and soften the alcohol strength.
