Glasgow 1770 Bourbon Cask Matured 8 Year Old Lowland Single Malt Scotch Whisky is a well-aged release from the contemporary Glasgow Distillery Company, located in Hillington, Glasgow. Distilled in copper pot stills from 100% unpeated malted barley and matured for 8 full years exclusively in first-fill ex-bourbon casks, this expression represents an evolution of the distillery's signature unpeated Single Malt profile. Bottled without chill filtration or artificial coloring, it offers a vibrant, dessert-like harmony of rich vanilla, buttery brioche, crisp orchard fruits, and warm oak spice.
Food Pairing: Pairs well with roast chicken, pan-seared pork chops with apple sauce, vanilla bean panna cotta, mild cheddar cheese, or almond tarts.
Tasting Notes: A bright and indulgence-rich Lowland single malt delivering notes of sweet vanilla pod, buttered brioche, crisp green apple, floral honey, and toasted oak.
Nose: Inviting aromas of vanilla bean, fresh green apple, lemon drizzle cake, honeyed malt, and toasted coconut.
Palate: Smooth and creamy on the palate with layers of butterscotch, poached pear, lemon oil, vanilla custard, and gentle baking spices.
Finish: Medium to long with lingering notes of sweet malt, toasted oak wood, and delicate citrus zest.
Serve: Enjoy neat in a Glencairn glass or with a few drops of spring water to open up its creamy vanilla and bright orchard fruit layers.
