Giuseppe Campagnola Tenuta di Missoj Valpolicella Ripasso Superiore 2021 is an intense and richly textured Italian red, sourced from a small, dedicated 3.5-hectare vineyard in Mizzole. Crafted using the traditional Ripasso method, the wine gains exceptional depth and complexity by undergoing a secondary fermentation on the warm, sugar-rich grape pomace of Amarone. It presents a highly aromatic bouquet of dried red cherries, sultanas, mocha, and lively baking spices. Medium to full-bodied on the palate, it delivers a juicy, mouth-filling core of ripe dark berries and chocolate, wrapped in elegantly silky tannins. Showcasing a delicious dried fruit character while remaining beautifully dry and fresh, it culminates in a long, harmonious, and delicately spiced finish.
Food Pairing: Pairs wonderfully with braised beef short ribs, savory venison stews, wild mushroom risotto, or aged hard cheeses like Parmigiano-Reggiano.
91 Points - James Suckling
A juicy Ripasso with notes of mocha, sultanas, lemons, chocolate and cherries. It is medium to full-bodied with a delicious dried fruit character, but remains dry, fresh and elegant.
