While many people associate gesha (or geisha) coffee with Panama, the gesha variety actually originates from Ethiopia. So we're thrilled to offer gesha from it's true origin.
The signature elements of Coffees from Gesha Village are intense floral and fruity flavours, and that is an accurate description of the Gesha Village lot #080.
This coffee is produced by the same producer as Purple Haze, Gesha Village and Oma Gesha, so if you enjoyed any of these, this will float your boat.
ABOUT GESHA VILLAGE
Gesha Village Coffee Estate is a 471 hectare Coffee farm in the Bench Maji zone of Ethiopia. Gesha Village started off in 2007 as a project to make a documentary on Ethiopian coffee. The idea to start coffee farming in Ethiopia quickly came into their conversations shortly afterwards.
After a long search they found an untouched piece of land with the perfect conditions to grow coffee near the Gori Gesha forest, which is a site of Panamian Geisha Discovery in the 1930's. They worked tirelessly to convert this piece of land to a fully operational farm and started cultivating wild Gesha plants from the Gori Gesha Forest.
