“There are only about 20 hectares of Pelaverga vineyards in existence, almost all of them concentrated in the Piedmontese village of Verduno. This lightweight, spicy red is an unusually delicious ‘must-try’ for Italian wine lovers. Alessandria’s “Speziale” Verduno Pelaverga is a regional benchmark.” - David Lynch, Sommelier
Aromas of wild strawberries, raspberries, rosemary flowers, light pepper. Suave and juicy, with light tannins. The red Pelaverga grape is native to Verduno; there are less than a dozen local producers who craft pure Pelaverga wines. Often served with a light chill.
