The Frasca 'La Guaragna' Barbera D'Asti 2020 is made from 100% Barbera grapes from vines averaging 20 years old. The wine exhibits a vibrant ruby red colour, often with purple highlights.
The aroma is fragrant with ripe cherries, crushed plums, wild blueberries, and perfumed mulberries, accompanied by hints of violet and spice. The palate is juicy and vibrant, offering a medium-bodied texture. It is characterized by brisk, tart acidity and flavours of red berries, sour cherries, and a touch of black pepper. The tannins are soft and finely sticky, framing a stony core. The wine is known for its fruity and approachable profile. Vinification involves soft pressing, long macerations, and aging exclusively in stainless steel tanks to preserve the natural freshness and fruitiness. The finish is smooth and persistent, with lingering fruity notes and a pleasant hint of spice.
