Frank Cornelissen MunJebel Rosso PA is made from 100% Nerello Mascalese from the Porcaria cru in contrada Feudo di Mezzo at 640 meters elevation on the northern slopes of Mount Etna in Sicily. The vines are over 60 years old and trained in the traditional alberello style. The grapes undergo 50 days of skin contact fermentation with indigenous yeasts. The wine then ages 18 months in neutral epoxy-resin tanks of 1500 to 2500 liters, followed by 18 months of bottle aging before release.
