Privada Storytelling
A Tribute to Roots
Created as a personal homage to founder Nick Melillo’s grandfather Pegnataro and tied to Foundation’s expansion into Connecticut Shade, this cigar blends heritage and craftkeeper values. It opens gentle then unfolds richer layers—spotlighting how memory and terroir can coexist in each cigar. It’s a narrative smoke, not just a flavor release.
Flavor Journey
First Third: Harmonious cinnamon-cream opener with cedar and almond. A mild breeze preludes fuller depth
Middle Third: Earth and leather deepen the experience; baker’s spice, citrus zest, and walnut weave in. Pepper notes lightly coat the palate
Final Third: Mineral salt and retrohale spice bring refinement; leather and earth anchor the finish atop nutty warmth
Why It Belongs in Privada
Pegnataro integrates memory, terroir, and thoughtful design. It respects tradition (Connecticut Shade) while delivering strength and layered complexity. It's approachable yet enlightening—designed for reflection, not showboating. That’s exactly in line with Privada’s ethos.
