A rare and elevated expression from Forthave Spirits, the Marseille Amaro Reserve takes their beloved flagship amaro to new depths. Inspired by the centuries-old “Four Thieves Vinegar” recipe from plague-era Marseille, this limited-release amaro is aged longer and infused with an expanded palette of botanicals for exceptional complexity.
Crafted with 36 botanicals—roots, barks, leaves, and seeds—plus additional botanicals unique to the Reserve, it’s sweetened with three distinct raw honeys sourced from an apiary in Ithaca, NY. The aging process combines oak barrels, glass demijohns, and stainless steel tanks, imparting a layered character that unfolds with every sip.
Expect a rich, herbal profile with notes of rhubarb root, lemongrass, chamomile, caramel, eucalyptus, and a medley of warming spices. Sip it neat, enjoy it over ice, or use it to add depth to your favorite cocktails. Each batch is small, each bottle a piece of liquid history.
