Fonseca Du Nord Regional Edition – Canadian Exclusive Cuban Cigar | CigarHaus
The Fonseca Du Nord Regional Edition is a rare Canadian-exclusive Cuban cigar created under the Habanos S.A. Edición Regional program. Released for the Canadian market, this limited-production cigar is a standout addition to the historic Fonseca brand and a highly collectible choice for Cuban cigar enthusiasts.
Crafted in the Genios / Robusto Extra vitola, the Fonseca Du Nord measures 140 mm x 52 ring gauge and is made totalmente a mano con tripa larga, meaning totally handmade with long filler. It uses Cuban wrapper, binder, and filler leaves sourced from Cuba’s renowned Vuelta Abajo region in Pinar del Río. Production is limited to 6,000 boxes of 10, making this a true collector’s release.
Flavour Profile
- Smooth Cuban tobacco
- Cedar and light earth
- Creamy toasted notes
- Subtle spice
- Balanced sweetness
- Refined medium-bodied finish
Why It Stands Out
The Fonseca Du Nord is significant because it was created exclusively for Canada and represents a rare Regional Edition release from the Fonseca brand. Fonseca is traditionally known for smoother, more approachable Cuban cigars, but this limited Regional Edition offers a more elevated and collectible expression for serious Cuban cigar smokers.
Its Robusto Extra / Genios format provides a satisfying smoking time, while the all-Cuban long-filler construction gives it the classic balance, aroma, and refinement that Habanos collectors look for.
