Folgers Gourmet Supreme is a medium‑dark roast ground coffee delivering a rich, full‑bodied cup with nutty, roasted notes in a 24.2‑ounce aroma‑seal canister.
This canister contains Folgers' Gourmet Supreme blend, roasted to a medium‑dark level for balanced depth without harsh bitterness. Crafted by experienced roast masters, the ground coffee is ready for a variety of brewing methods and includes an aroma seal canister designed to preserve freshness between uses. With the suggested serving size, a single canister can make up to 210 six‑fluid‑ounce cups at strength level 6, making it suitable for homes and small offices that want consistent flavor and reliable performance.
What flavor profile can I expect from this medium‑dark roast?
Gourmet Supreme leans toward a rich, rounded cup with both nutty and roasted characteristics. The medium‑dark roast level brings forward deeper caramel and toasted notes while retaining some of the coffee's inherent subtlety, rather than a one‑dimensional bitter finish.
- Balanced richness with nutty undertones
- Toasted and caramelized flavor cues
- Medium‑dark intensity without excessive bitterness
Which brewing methods work best with this ground coffee?
Folgers Gourmet Supreme is pre‑ground for convenience and performs well across common home coffee makers. It is especially recommended for French press and cold brew, where the blend's full body and roasted notes can develop more prominently, but it also suits drip machines and pour‑over setups when using the suggested grind amount.
- French press: fuller extraction and enhanced body
- Cold brew: smoother, less acidic concentrate
- Drip and automatic brewers: consistent, reliable cups
How much coffee does the 24.2‑ounce canister make and how is freshness preserved?
The canister holds 24.2 ounces of ground coffee and is packaged with an aroma‑seal lid to help maintain flavor between uses. Following the suggested strength (six‑fluid‑ounce servings at strength 6) yields up to approximately 210 cups; actual yield varies by cup size and personal strength preferences.
- Net weight: 24.2 ounces of ground coffee
- Suggested yield: up to 210 six‑ounce servings
- Aroma‑seal canister helps reduce quick flavor loss
How do I store and use Folgers Gourmet Supreme for best results?
Keep the canister sealed and stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat to slow flavor loss. Use freshly boiled or filtered water for brewing and adjust coffee amount to taste; coarser grinds and longer steep times benefit French press and cold brew methods.
- Store sealed at room temperature, away from light and heat
- Use filtered water and follow brewer guidelines for grind and ratio
- Adjust scoop quantity to change strength and cup size
