Fairbanks California Sherry (1.5L) is a medium-dry California fortified wine from Fairbanks Cellars, bottled at 17% ABV (34 proof). This 1.5-liter glass bottle is the large-format expression and uses a resealable screw cap. The package identifies the wine as blended and aged for a mellow, nutty flavor, with the familiar green Fairbanks Sherry label distinguishing it from the brand’s other fortified wines.
The producer describes salty, nut, and toast aromas, followed by full-bodied flavors of almond, butter, cinnamon, and lemon. Those elements combine in a crisp, nutty, slightly tangy profile with a medium-dry finish rather than a heavily sweet one. Fairbanks recommends it as an after-dinner aperitif, in a Sherry Cobbler or rye-based cocktail, and as a flavorful addition to pan sauces, soups, roasts, and desserts. The large bottle suits recipes or service that call for more than a standard 750 mL format.
