Returning for 2025 with even more indulgent flavor, CHICKEN & WAFFLES MAPLE SYRUP is a standout release from Ezra Zion’s ultra-premium micro-batch lineup. Originally a private house blend, its rich, dessert-inspired profile proved too extraordinary to keep under wraps—quickly earning its place as one of the most celebrated blends in Ezra Zion’s portfolio.
This year’s edition takes the original concept to new heights by incorporating specially aged “maple syrup” tobaccos that bring an extra layer of sweetness and depth to the profile. The result is a luxurious, flavor-packed experience that bridges the comfort of a Sunday morning breakfast with the sophistication of top-shelf, aged tobaccos.
CHICKEN & WAFFLES MAPLE SYRUP is a 6x50 toro, full-bodied and medium-to-full in strength. It’s wrapped in a velvety Corojo 99 Rosado leaf—silky, buttery, and immaculate in appearance. The filler tobaccos, aged between 6–12 years, remain a closely guarded secret.
Tasting Notes According to EZRA ZION:
-
First Third: A rush of brown sugar, milk chocolate, and sweet maple syrup envelopes the palate. Notes of cinnamon, vanilla bean, and heavy cream follow, with a smooth leather finish and a retrohale full of warm spice.
-
Second Third: The profile deepens with nuances of coffee bean, caramel, Almond Roca, and chocolate frosting. The aged tobaccos reveal their complexity with hints of nutmeg and refined sweetness.
-
Final Third: Flavors crescendo with dark chocolate, burnt marshmallow, and the deep, resonant taste of mature tobacco. A final layer of maple and black pepper closes out the experience with elegance and richness.
