Introduction
This red wine originates from the United States, produced in the Eola Amity Hills subregion of the Willamette Valley in Oregon. Evesham Wood was founded in 1986 by Russ Raney and is now owned and operated by Erin and Jordan Nuccio, who maintain the estate's original focus on site specificity. The winemaking philosophy emphasizes minimal intervention and organic farming, utilizing non-irrigated vineyards and native yeast fermentations to produce wines that are elegant, balanced, and reflective of their volcanic soil origins.
Wine Description
The Evesham Wood Pinot Noir Eola Amity Hills presents a brilliant ruby colour. The nose is aromatic and layered, offering scents of fresh pomegranate, wild strawberry, and rose petal, with deeper notes of forest floor and wet stone. On the palate, the wine is medium bodied and lithe, delivering a vibrant core of red fruit integrated with subtle earthy undertones and white pepper. It is characterized by its high acidity, fine-grained tannins, and a long, savoury finish that showcases its cool-climate energy. This 100% Pinot Noir typically has an ABV of 13% and is produced from estate-grown grapes that are certified organic by Stellar Certification Services.
