Evan Williams Bottled in Bond Bourbon is an exceptional value bourbon that meets the strict standards of the Bottled in Bond Act of 1897, delivering quality, consistency, and transparency at an incredibly accessible price point. Produced by Heaven Hill Distillery and named after Kentucky's first commercial distiller, this bourbon must be the product of one distillation season from a single distillery, aged for at least four years in a federally bonded warehouse, and bottled at exactly 100 proof (50% ABV)—requirements that ensure authenticity and quality. The Bottled in Bond designation represents a government guarantee of integrity that was created to protect consumers from adulterated whiskey, and today it remains a badge of honor that signals serious bourbon craftsmanship. Evan Williams Bottled in Bond delivers robust, classic bourbon character with the backbone and intensity that 100 proof provides, making it a favorite among bartenders who need mixing bourbon with genuine power and enthusiasts who want sipping quality without premium pricing.
On the nose, Evan Williams Bottled in Bond reveals rich aromas of caramel, vanilla, and toasted oak with notes of toffee, corn sweetness, cinnamon, and hints of leather and tobacco. The palate is bold and flavorful at 100 proof, delivering classic bourbon notes of brown sugar, butterscotch, charred oak, and baking spices with layers of dark fruit, black pepper, and a pleasant warmth that showcases its strength and character. The finish is long and satisfying with persistent oak, sweet vanilla, spice, and warming heat. The 100 proof provides excellent versatility—it's bold enough to stand up beautifully in cocktails like Old Fashioneds, Manhattans, and Whiskey Sours without getting lost, yet refined enough to enjoy neat or with a splash of water for those who appreciate fuller-proof bourbon at an everyday price. Whether you're a bartender seeking reliable mixing bourbon with genuine backbone, a bourbon enthusiast who values the Bottled in Bond standard and exceptional quality-to-price ratio, or looking for an everyday sipper that delivers serious character without breaking the bank, Evan Williams Bottled in Bond Bourbon offers outstanding value and the classic bourbon character that has made it one of the best-kept secrets in American whiskey.
