Evan Williams 1783 “American Hero Annual Release 2023” is a value-driven, limited-edition small batch bourbon with a meaningful story behind it. Built on the dependable 1783 profile—caramel, vanilla, light fruit, and spice—this release adds a layer of purpose, honoring U.S. military veterans while delivering a smooth, well-balanced, everyday bourbon that overperforms for the price. It’s a bottle that combines drinkability, heritage, and a compelling cause.
Origins & Craftsmanship
Produced by Heaven Hill Distillery, this release is based on the Evan Williams 1783 Small Batch Bourbon, an “extra-aged” expression drawn from fewer than 200 barrels.
The 2023 American Hero Edition is:
- Small batch bourbon selected from specific warehouse barrels
- Aged approximately 6–8 years
- Bottled at 90 proof (45% ABV)
- Built on Heaven Hill’s classic mash bill (78% corn, 10% rye, 12% malted barley)
What makes this release unique is the selection process:
- Barrels are chosen in collaboration with honored U.S. veterans
- Each bottle features a hang tag telling the story of selected “American-Made Heroes”
Additionally, the program supports veterans:
- $1 per bottle (up to $75,000 annually) is donated to nonprofit organizations aiding veteran communities
