The Eureka MCD4-85 is a retail and shop grinder, not a bar grinder: 85 mm burrs with a grind range wide enough to run from espresso all the way to Turkish, built for grinding customers' bags at the counter of a roastery or coffee retailer.
What you get
- 85 mm burrs: the throughput to grind retail bags quickly, one customer after another, without the burrs heating and the grind drifting.
- Espresso-to-Turkish range: the full retail spread on one machine, including the extra-fine Turkish setting most shop grinders cannot reach.
- Shop-counter workflow: built for grinding into bags rather than portafilters, with the duty cycle for all-day retail use.
- Commercial serviceability: Eureka's Florence-built construction with the parts network behind it.
- Glass hopper option: an antique-look glass hopper is available for shops where the grinder is part of the storefront.
What it is not
This is not an on-demand espresso grinder for a bar; the Atom and Mythos lines cover that. The MCD4-85 earns its place where whole-bean retail is part of the business and customers ask for their bag ground to order.
Best suited to
Roastery retail counters, coffee shops selling whole beans, grocers and delis with a grind-to-order service.
Includes Turkish-capable fineness range. Optional glass hopper and Blow-Up Hopper System available as add-ons. 1-year parts and labour warranty.
