Introducing the Perez-Carrillo Encore Black — a bold and sophisticated evolution of the original Encore line, crafted for those who seek deeper complexity, richer flavor, and masterful construction. With this release, E.P. Carrillo takes a celebrated blend and wraps it in something darker, more intense, and unmistakably refined.
Handcrafted at Casa Carrillo, Encore Black features a Connecticut Broadleaf maduro wrapper, a robust Mexican San Andrés binder, and a carefully selected filler blend from Estelí, Condega, and Jalapa — three of Nicaragua’s most prized growing regions. The result is a medium-full to full-bodied cigar that layers flavors of espresso, dark chocolate, baking spice, oak, and leather, all balanced by subtle sweetness and a long, satisfying finish.
Encore Black retains the harmony and structure that made the original Encore line an instant classic, while amplifying its intensity. It’s a blend designed to showcase the full depth of the Broadleaf wrapper, giving each puff a dense, chewy texture and a luxurious mouthfeel.
Limited to just 5,000 boxes annually (with only 2,000 in the initial release), Encore Black is a small-batch release for discerning palates — a modern classic wrapped in heritage and boldness.
Now Available: The Encore Black Bulwarks
Following the success of the original Robusto size (5 3/8 x 52), the Encore Black Bulwarks introduces a majestic 6 x 58 perfecto to the line — a larger vitola that allows the Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper to shine even more prominently.
This format delivers an even more immersive version of the Encore Black experience, with the same blend of aged tobaccos but rebalanced to emphasize richness, texture, and complexity over a longer, cooler burn.
According to Ernesto Perez-Carrillo Jr., “The Bulwarks delivers a fuller, more immersive expression of the blend... a sincere effort from our family to yours.”
Packaged in elegant 10-count boxes and offered at an MSRP of $21 per cigar, the Bulwarks exemplifies the heart, heritage, and attention to detail that defines the Carrillo name.
