Edmond Briottet Liqueur De Litchi Lychee Liqueur
Edmond Briottet Liqueur de Litchi Lychee Liqueur is made by the well-known French brand, Edmond Briottet, which has been creating top-notch liqueurs since 1836 in the Burgundy region.
They’re famous for using natural ingredients to make their luxury fruit liqueurs, and this Liqueur de Litchi is no exception. It captures the sweet, floral taste of lychee, offering a refreshing and exotic twist to any drink. If you’re a fan of fruity and unique liqueurs, this one is definitely worth trying!
The lychee was first cultivated in Asia, and unofficial records refer to the Lychee in China as far back as 2000 BC!
- Uses fruit from Litchi chinensis. A species of tropical tree native to China. Often known as the "cherry of China" which has a soft delicate flavour.
- On the nose, sherbet and fresh fruit with a hint of lychee. In the mouth, Lychee sweetness balanced by citric acidity, with hints of stewed red berry, green melon and grape soda. The finish has strong authentic lychee with lingering acidity.
- The light, delicate flavours of lychee compliment the fresh, clean taste of sushi or sashimi, especially with fish like tuna or salmon.
- The sweetness of the liqueur balances the saltiness of soy sauce and the richness of the fish.
- Pair it with a fruit salad featuring mango, pineapple, and coconut. The sweet, floral notes of the lychee liqueur will enhance the tropical flavours, creating a refreshing and harmonious combination.
Just the ticket for exotic Martinis or oriental themed cocktails.
