EarthWise Aromatics Organic Wormwood Herb is a full-pound (16oz) bag of USDA-certified Artemisia absinthium, sustainably harvested in Albania for use in herbal teas, blends, and aromatic preparations.
This single-ingredient pack delivers one pound of dried wormwood leaves and stems, certified 100% organic under USDA standards. The herb arrives whole and ready for blending into teas, tinctures, potpourri, or culinary recipes that call for Artemisia absinthium. Sourced from Albania, our wormwood is processed to preserve botanical integrity and aromatic character without added fillers, so you receive a consistent, traceable ingredient suitable for small-batch makers and serious herbalists.
What makes this wormwood different from other dried herbs?
EarthWise Aromatics focuses on traceable sourcing and organic certification: the wormwood in this bag is harvested in Albania and certified USDA organic, ensuring no synthetic pesticides or fertilizers were used. The product is delivered as a clean, whole-plant dried herb so you can select how to process it—crush, steep, or macerate—depending on your application.
- 1 lb (16 oz) whole dried Artemisia absinthium
- Certified USDA Organic for farm-to-shelf traceability
- Harvested and dried to maintain leaf and stem structure
- Minimal processing—no fillers, additives, or artificial preservatives
How should I use Organic Wormwood Herb in teas and blends?
Wormwood has a strong, bitter aromatic profile, so it is typically used sparingly in tea blends to add depth and complexity. Start with small proportions—especially when blending with milder herbs—and adjust to taste. Use proper infusion techniques: finely chop or lightly crush leaves before steeping for a more uniform extraction of flavor.
- Begin with 1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon per cup when blending
- Steep 3–5 minutes with water just off boil for herbal infusions
- Combine with milder herbs like chamomile, mint, or lemon balm
- Strain thoroughly to remove leaf fragments before serving
Can I use this wormwood for aromatic, craft, or culinary projects?
Yes—this dried Artemisia absinthium is versatile for non-medical uses such as potpourri, sachets, bitters, and flavoring in small-scale culinary creations where a bitter, herbaceous note is desired. Because the herb is potent, measure carefully and test in small batches to achieve the balance you want. Keep labeling and storage in mind to retain aroma and color over time.
- Great for potpourri mixes and aromatic sachets
- Suitable for craft bitters and small-batch liqueur flavoring
- Use sparingly in cooking to introduce bitter-herb complexity
- Store in airtight containers away from light and heat
How should I store and handle this 1 lb pack to keep it fresh?
Proper storage preserves aroma, color, and usability: transfer the contents to an airtight jar or vacuum-sealed bag and keep in a cool, dark place away from humidity. Use within a reasonable period—dried herbs gradually lose volatile aromatics—so label with the purchase or opened date and rotate stock for best results.
- Use airtight glass or food-grade containers
- Keep out of direct sunlight and high humidity
- Label with opened date; use within 12–24 months for peak aroma
- Handle with clean, dry utensils to avoid contamination
