89 points, Cigar Aficionado
The Drew Estate Undercrown Shade Robusto is a highly refined, traditional vitola that delivers the blend's celebrated elegance in a classic, perfectly proportioned format. Hand-rolled by the master torcedores at Drew Estate, this Robusto is engineered to provide a balanced wrapper-to-filler ratio, allowing the creamy qualities of the outer leaf to shine while maintaining a cool, concentrated burn.
The structural and tobacco specifications of this exact vitola are designed to ensure an exceptionally smooth and even experience from start to finish. Cloaked in a flawless, golden-hued Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade wrapper, the cigar is bound with a rich Ecuadorian Sumatra leaf and packed with a complex filler blend of Dominican Criollo '98 and Nicaraguan Corojo and Criollo long-fillers. This balanced, stocky 5-inch format guarantees a highly consistent delivery of smooth, nuanced flavours over a deeply relaxing hour-long session.
