The Undercrown El Tigre Dominicano Gordo offers a broader, more expansive interpretation of one of Drew Estate's most ambitious modern blends. Produced at La Gran Fabrica Drew Estate in Estelí, Nicaragua, this soft box-pressed Gordo combines an Ecuador Sumatra wrapper, Connecticut Corojo H99 Hybrid binder, and a Dominican-forward blend of HVA and Criollo '98 tobaccos into a cigar that rewards patience with exceptional complexity and refinement.
The larger format allows the Dominican tobaccos to take center stage, creating a slower, cooler smoking experience that emphasizes texture, balance, and the natural character of the blend. The Sumatra wrapper provides aromatic sweetness and measured spice while the Dominican core develops notes of cedar, roasted coffee, earth, and subtle cream with effortless composure. Rather than becoming heavier as the cigar progresses, the Gordo remains remarkably elegant—a testament to the precision of Drew Estate's blending team.
The El Tigre Dominicano Gordo proves that larger-ring cigars can deliver finesse as readily as power. Rich, contemplative, and beautifully balanced, it is an outstanding choice for enthusiasts who appreciate extended smoking sessions and the evolving character that only exceptional tobacco can provide.
