James Hetfield and his Metallica bandmates are no strangers to maverick outside-the-box thinking. They partnered with master distiller Dave Pickerell and then Rob Dietrich to develop the award-winning Blackened whiskey line, using a flavor-bolstering process that reverberates low-frequency sound through the whiskey barrels. Turning an eye towards cigar innovation, Hetfield joined the Blackened whiskey team and Drew Estate to create Blackened M81 cigars.
The Blackened M81 Corona is a scrumptious 5” x 43 cigar with a powerful, 95-rated performance. It starts with bold Nicaraguan and Pennsylvanian Broadleaf “Green River One Sucker” filler tobaccos. A thick Connecticut Broadleaf binder carouses the fillers, while a Mexican San Andres wrapper completes the captivating Maduro-heavy blend.
Once the Blackened M81 Corona hits the stage, rich and chewy chocolate, pepper, and espresso notes crash into the tastebuds. An earthy undertone provides the underlying beat, as hints of baking spice, oak, and walnut bring a melodious turn to the full-bodied powerhouse smoke.
If you want a bold, delectably potent flavor bomb, the Blackened M81 Corona is a smooth and savory firecracker that keeps your palate rocking’ from the first puff to the last. So, crank up the metal, pour a splash of whiskey, and enjoy the primal pleasures of a Blackened M81 Corona cigar.
