Door County Coffee Autumn Spice is an 8oz bag of medium-roast, whole-bean Arabica coffee flavored with cinnamon and warm autumn spice for a cozy, seasonal cup.
Made by Door County Coffee & Tea Co., this small-batch whole-bean roast blends specialty 100% Arabica beans with cinnamon-forward autumn spice flavoring. The result is a balanced medium roast that highlights warm spice aromatics without overpowering the coffee’s natural sweetness. It’s designed for home brewing methods where fresh whole beans and a grinder can best preserve the scent and character.
What flavor profile should I expect from Autumn Spice?
You’ll notice cinnamon as the dominant spice, supported by softer autumn notes that round out the cup. The medium roast keeps acidity moderate and lets the spice sit on top of the coffee’s natural caramel and nut undertones.
- Primary taste: warm cinnamon spice.
- Body: medium, with balanced acidity.
- Aromas: baking-spice and mild caramel.
- Finish: smooth, gently spiced.
How should I brew this whole-bean cinnamon coffee for best results?
Grind just before brewing to capture the spice aroma and preserve oils. Medium-coarse grind works well for drip and pour-over; slightly finer for a stronger French press or Aeropress extraction.
- Recommended grind: medium for drip, medium-coarse for pour-over.
- Water temperature: 195–205°F (90–96°C) for optimal extraction.
- Ratio: about 1:15–1:17 coffee to water by weight.
- Freshness tip: store in a cool, dry place away from light.
Is this coffee suitable for year-round drinking or just fall?
While inspired by autumn, the cinnamon-infused profile works well year-round whenever you want a warming, spiced cup. Many people choose it for seasonal baking pairings or as a comforting morning ritual during cooler weather.
- Seasonal feel: autumn-forward but not limited to fall.
- Pairings: baked goods, oatmeal, and dessert coffees.
- Versatility: excellent for black brew or milk-based drinks.
- Gift appeal: popular as a seasonal present or sampler item.
How does small-batch roasting affect this flavored coffee?
Small-batch roasting helps Door County Coffee maintain consistent roast profiles and lets the spice flavoring be applied thoughtfully. This approach preserves the beans’ natural characteristics so the cinnamon complements, rather than masks, the coffee.
- Quality: 100% specialty Arabica beans sourced for flavor.
- Consistency: controlled roast times for uniform medium roast.
- Freshness: smaller quantities roasted more frequently.
- Flavor balance: spice added to highlight, not overwhelm.
Who is this for: Door County Coffee Autumn Spice is ideal for home brewers who prefer whole beans and crave a cinnamon-forward, medium-roast cup. It fits shoppers seeking specialty Arabica quality with an inviting, seasonal aroma—good for gifting, cozy mornings, and anyone wanting an approachable spiced coffee without specialty equipment demands.
