Don Julio 1942 FIFA World Cup 2026 Limited Edition is a highly collectible release launched to celebrate Don Julio's role as an Official Supporter of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, hosted across Mexico, the United States, and Canada. Reimagined to evoke the tournament’s ultimate prize, the iconic tall, slender bottle features a striking, luminous gold finish inspired by the FIFA World Cup Trophy and is crowned with a distinctive, malachite-green closure.
While the presentation serves as a celebratory trophy for football fans and spirits collectors alike, the liquid inside remains the classic, award-winning luxury Añejo tequila that has defined the brand since its inception.
Food Pairing: Pairs elegantly with rich Mexican cuisine such as pork carnitas, slow-cooked Mole Poblano, or grilled ribeye steak with chimichurri. It also beautifully complements fine desserts like dark chocolate truffles, artisanal churros, or a vanilla bean flan.
Tasting Notes
Deep amber-gold with brilliant clarity; coats the glass with heavy, slow-moving legs that yield an incredibly silky, viscous mouthfeel.
-
Nose: Rich, alluring, and highly aromatic. Dominated by sweet caramelized agave, rich vanilla bean, and toasted oak, followed by subtle hints of dark chocolate, cinnamon, and warm baking spices.
-
Taste: Exceptionally smooth and full-bodied on the palate. A complex interplay of sweet toffee, roasted agave, and warm American oak gives way to layers of tropical fruits, dried apricots, and a touch of white pepper.
-
Finish: Remarkably long, elegant, and velvety. It leaves a lingering sweetness of vanilla and oak spice with virtually zero alcohol burn.
Serve
Best enjoyed strictly neat or on a single large rock in a tequila snifter or a Riedel Tequila glass to experience the spirit’s delicate aromatics and smooth profile.
