Domaine Fontaine-Gagnard Chassagne-Montrachet 2024 is a classic, refined white Burgundy sourced from multiple village-level parcels across the Chassagne-Montrachet appellation. Crafted by Celine Fontaine, the wine undergoes traditional vinification with ambient yeasts and maturation in French oak barrels (around 20% new), balancing delicate wood influence with pure fruit expression. In the glass, it displays a bright straw-gold hue with expressive aromas of fresh crisp orchard fruits, orchard blossom, Meyer lemon zest, and subtle hints of toasted hazelnut and crushed limestone. On the palate, it is medium-bodied, offering a harmonious blend of fleshiness and precision, anchored by vibrant mineral acidity and a clean, long-lasting finish.
Food Pairing: Pairs wonderfully with roast chicken, pan-seared sea scallops, grilled halibut, creamy mushroom risotto, or semi-hard cheeses like Comté.
