Domaine Drouhin Laroze is a family owned winery, estate owned since 1850 and located in the heart of Gevrey-Chambertin in the famed Burgundy region. Their wines range from village level all the way up to Grand Cru. The Bonnes Mare is a Grand Cru vineyard of only 1.5ha located in Chambolle-Musigny. All of their Grand Cru wines use 80% new French oak barrels with a medium toast to ensure a perfect harmony with the wine and wood tannins. This 100% Pinot Noir features notes of blackcurrant buds with nuances of roses on the nose, while the palate shows small red fruits with hints of licorice. Harmonious overall, the finish is dense and superb in this elegant wine. Pair with fois gras, roasted chicken and creamy cheeses.
