Domaine de Majas Rouge 2021 is a captivating red wine from the Côtes Catalanes region in the Roussillon area of southern France. Produced by the acclaimed Domaine de Majas, this wine is crafted from organically farmed vineyards situated on clay and limestone soils, which impart a distinct mineral character to the wine. Domaine de Majas, under the direction of winemakers Alain Carrère and Tom Lubbe, is known for its commitment to natural winemaking and minimal intervention. The 2021 vintage of Majas Rouge is a blend of Carignan and Grenache, two grape varieties that thrive in the warm, sun-drenched climate of the Roussillon. The wine showcases a vibrant, fruit-forward profile with aromas of red berries, black cherries, and subtle earthy notes. On the palate, it is well-balanced with fresh acidity, smooth tannins, and flavors of ripe fruits, herbs, and a hint of spice, all leading to a clean, elegant finish.
