Domaine Bachey-Legros Chassagne-Montrachet
This white Burgundy is made from Chardonnay grown in Chassagne-Montrachet, part of the Côte de Beaune in Burgundy. Domaine Bachey-Legros is a family-run estate with roots in the 19th century and a focus on old vines. Grapes are hand-harvested and gently pressed, then aged in French oak barrels for up to 15 months. Lees ageing adds richness and depth.
- Opens with white flowers, citrus peel, orchard fruit and toasted almond.
- The palate is creamy and concentrated, showing apple, melon, citrus zest, honey and nougat.
- Finishes long and mineral, with flinty freshness and subtle pastry notes.
Pairs well with scallops, lobster tail or chicken in a white wine cream sauce.
