Ensure precise control and consistent flavour with a digital TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) meter.
Designed to measure the electrical conductivity of your water, this tool estimates TDS in ppm so you can quickly assess water quality, dial in mineral levels, and keep your brews repeatable.
Why use a TDS meter?
- Consistent taste: Minerals influence extraction and flavour, monitor them to keep your cup profile steady.
- Quick quality checks: Verify water before brewing, especially if you’re using filtered, bottled, or mixed water.
- Mixing confidence: Helpful for confirming dilution targets when preparing mineral solutions.
Key features
- Wide measurement range: 0 to 9990 ppm (TDS)
- High resolution: 1 ppm (0 to 999 ppm), 10 ppm (1000 to 9990 ppm)
- Automatic Temperature Compensation (ATC): Adjusts readings to account for temperature changes for more accurate results
- Fast readout: Intelligent detection chip delivers results in fractions of a second
- Titanium alloy probe: Durable, stable readings over time
- Large LCD + Hold function: Easy to read, and you can freeze the value for recording
- Portable pen-style design: Lightweight and easy to carry

F.A.Q.
My TDS meter is not reading the numbers it should, why is that?TDS meters are calibrated to measure the mineral concentration in a water temperature of approximately 21 degrees. If your water is too hot when you measure then the reading will be higher and vice and versa in cooler water.
What’s the difference between hardness, alkalinity, and TDS?
- Hardness = calcium + magnesium.
- Alkalinity = buffer capacity (mainly bicarbonates).
- TDS = total dissolved solids (all minerals combined).
Knowing the Hardness and Alkalinity of your water are important in order to protect an espresso machine, but in no way these metrics can give you an indication of the water quality and what you can expect from it. Water is unfortunately much more complex than that, and we’ve done the hard work for you in creating those ready-to-use recipes.
