The Diesel Whiskey Row Sherry Cask Robusto is a cigar born from collaboration, patience, and an appreciation for how exceptional barrels can influence exceptional tobacco. Created by master blender A.J. Fernandez in partnership with Rabbit Hole Distillery, this distinctive release builds upon the award-winning Whiskey Row concept by aging its Brazilian Arapiraca binder in barrels that once held Rabbit Hole PX Sherry Finish Bourbon, imparting a subtle richness without ever crossing into the territory of an infused cigar.
Handcrafted at Tabacalera AJ Fernandez in Estelí, Nicaragua, the blend is completed with a dark Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper and robust Nicaraguan fillers, creating a medium to full-bodied cigar that is both innovative and unmistakably rooted in traditional cigar craftsmanship.
The Robusto presents the blend with remarkable focus, allowing the sherry-cask-aged binder to weave seamlessly through the tobacco rather than dominate it. The Broadleaf wrapper contributes its signature richness while the aged binder introduces nuanced layers of dark fruit, cedar, cocoa, and pepper that develop naturally throughout the smoke. Nothing feels artificial or exaggerated. Instead, the influence of the cask reveals itself with quiet sophistication, rewarding smokers who appreciate balance over excess.
