Privada Storytelling
When the world first caught a glimpse of the Delectados brand, it wasn’t in a cigar shop—it was on the silver screen in James Bond: No Time to Die. A fictitious cigar in a high-stakes world of espionage and danger. What most did not expect was that this cinematic mystery would find new life in reality, brought forth by Privada and the industry’s most revered Dominican master blender.
This release is more than a cigar; it is a cornerstone in cigar history. Delectados marks the very first production from the newly opened Tabacalera Diaz Cabrera, a factory already whispered about with awe long before its doors officially opened. Though legal considerations prevent us from using the legendary blender’s name outright, connoisseurs know exactly whose hands shaped this masterpiece.
To hold and light a Delectados is to bridge fantasy and reality, to savor a creation that unites Hollywood mystique with Dominican heritage. And, as Brian Desind himself said, “this is one of the most special cigars we have ever been a part of.”
Flavor Journey
-
First Third: Opens with silky cedar, cream, and toasted almond. Gentle honey sweetness lingers while a citrus zest teases the palate. The retrohale introduces a refined white pepper.
-
Second Third: The body grows richer with layers of oak, caramelized sugar, and dried fruit. A warm, nutty character blends with Dominican florals, balancing sweetness and spice.
-
Final Third: Complexity deepens into roasted coffee bean, cocoa, and spiced leather, with a return of citrus and honey weaving through a creamy, elegant finish.
Why It Belongs in Privada
Delectados is not only a rare release—it is a once-in-history event. The first cigar ever produced at Tabacalera Diaz Cabrera, it represents the dawn of a new era for Dominican tobacco. The fact that this blend will never be made again cements its status as a collector’s treasure. Privada exists to uncover these moments of cigar history and place them directly in the hands of those who appreciate them most.
