De Martino Viejas Tinajas Blanco 2022 is a skin-contact white wine from Chile’s Itata Valley, made from Muscat of Alexandria grown in the Trehuaco area. The wine is bottled at 12.5% ABV in a 750ml bottle. De Martino destems the grapes, places the whole berries in traditional clay tinajas, and carries out fermentation with native yeasts. The wine remains with the skins for six months through malolactic fermentation, then moves to another tinaja for a further six months before bottling without fining or filtration.
The producer program describes this Blanco as floral, citrus-led, and peach-toned, while the exact 2022 trade listing emphasizes aromatic intensity, fresh acidity, texture, tension, volume, and smoothness. The exact 2022 trade listing identifies the style as a skin-contact white wine. The bottle is finished with a natural cork, and the exact trade record identifies the wine as suitable for vegan and vegetarian drinkers.
