The DAOU Discovery Collection Rosa 2020 is a 1.5 L rosé at 13.7% ABV, drawing inspiration from the rosé wines of Provence, France, and staying faithful to those origins.
The nose is remarkably fragrant, with generous aromas of fresh peach, Bartlett pear and nectarine alongside subtle notes of hyacinth, apricot and crushed rose petals. The palate is silky over a clean, fresh crispness, bringing flavors of mango, Crenshaw melon, lemon chiffon and tangerine, with secondary layers of sweet cherry and vanilla accented by orange peel. A lasting finish leaves traces of apple pie, strawberry and kiwi.
Overall, the profile is balanced, with ripe fruit, subtle oak and soft tannins leading to a smooth, refined close.
