ENDURING STRENGTH & RELIABILITY

Made for those who seek and appreciate the true value of nature, legacy, and authenticity, Comandante is proud to release a limited run of C40 Nitro Blade ‘Vintage Oak’ grinders in two categories: ‘Classic’ and ‘Royal’.

Handcrafted by the Comandante team in Munich, they boast the rich, warm hue of smoked oak, with the knob and veneer in a perfect pairing. The rare ‘Royal’ grinders all carry veneers handpicked by Comandante founder Bernd Braune for their particularly unique and remarkable grain.

Crafted with respect and limited by nature, each veneer is carefully selected and every grinder in this series is a work of art—not designed, but grown, with its natural dignity allowed to shine.

The tree wrote the story; Comandante merely revealed it. Each piece now carries its own majestic narrative: dynamic lines, deep veins, delicate birdseyes, and shapes that ignore symmetry and follow their own, naturally evolved rhythm—a poetic record of a long life.

Each Vintage Oak grinder is a piece of natural German heritage, perfected by craftsmanship.
FEATURES

High-alloyed, high-nitrogen stainless steel burrs provide superior strength, durability and performance.

Optimized burr geometry delivers unparalleled precision in grind particle size distribution.

Full range of grind size adjustments, from turkish to cold brew.

Designed and built for ultimate performance and ergonomics, including the reworked MK4 internal engine frame.

CONTENTS

The C40 MK4 Nitro Blade Grinder is equipped with 1 brown glass jar and 1 clear polymer-glass jar with one lid, perfect for pre-dosing and storing up to 40g of coffee.

Also includes a silicone grip band.

MATERIALS

High-alloyed, high-nitrogen martensitic steel burr set; stainless steel body/axle; Black Forest oak wood handle; wood veneer.

Made in Germany

Quality engineering crafted with the finest materials, honouring Comandante's Bavarian heritage.
USE & CARE

Regular cleaning will keep your grinder running smoothly and tasting fresh. Burrs and inner mechanism should not be wet, and can be cleaned with a brush or pressurized air can. Glass jars may be cleaned with soap and water, and the wooden veneer should be kept dry, but can be wiped with a damp cloth and cared for as you would any wood item.

Grind Settings

While the perfect grind setting of course varies from coffee to coffee, here are some helpful starting points for your new Comandante grinder:

- 5–10 Clicks for Turkish.
- 10–15 Clicks for Espresso.
- 15–20 Clicks for a Bialetti or stovetop moka pot.
- 22–32 Clicks for a pour over filter coffee (depending on dose and brewer).
- 25–30 Clicks for Cupping and French Press.
- 30–35 Clicks for Cold Brew.
Aeropress? Well, that depends on your recipe!

Comandante designs and builds their grinders to last. As such, we don’t expect the grinder to break or malfunction, but if something does go wrong, get in touch and we'll sort it out.
