Japan’s Saitama Prefecture is home to Coedo Brewery, a craft brewery rooted in centuries of agricultural tradition and a commitment to artisanal precision. The brewery, founded in the 1990s, draws inspiration from the local cultivation of sweet potatoes and rice, blending tradition with innovation in its range of craft beers. Coedo has become known for creating distinctive beers that integrate Japanese ingredients and sensibilities.
Coedo's Rice & Yuzu Pale Ale is a refined expression of Japanese brewing finesse. Pale golden and lightly hazy in appearance, this ale is brewed with polished rice and delicately infused with yuzu, the fragrant Japanese citrus. On the nose, it offers vibrant aromas of lemon zest, white flowers, and fresh-cut herbs. The palate is crisp and refreshing, featuring light malt sweetness, a subtle rice creaminess, and bright, tangy citrus notes from the yuzu. With a light body, dry finish, and balanced bitterness, it delivers a harmonious drinking experience that is both lively and elegant. Best enjoyed fresh to appreciate its aromatic nuances and delicacy.
