Privada Storytelling
The CLE Signature THT-EKE 03/17 11/18 is one of the most elusive and experimental blends to ever come from Christian Eiroa’s CLE portfolio — a cigar that pushes the limits of Honduran terroir. The name itself, “THT-EKE 03/17,” reflects its cryptic origins: a blend conceived in March 2017 and kept quietly in the Eiroa family’s private vault until its debut years later.
What makes this cigar truly remarkable is its Honduran-grown Cameroon wrapper — an agricultural and curing experiment that took years to perfect. Grown from authentic African Cameroon seed but cultivated in the fertile soils of the Jamastrán Valley, this wrapper delivers a flavor both familiar and entirely new: sweet, spicy, earthy, and hauntingly smooth.
Rolled in the legendary 11/18 shape, it’s a smoke that evolves with every draw — a balance of elegance and edge, tradition and innovation.
Flavor Journey
The first third opens with cedar and graham cracker sweetness, followed by subtle black pepper and nutmeg. As the burn widens, floral spice and cream rise to the surface, mingling with cocoa and toasted almond. The final third intensifies with honeyed wood, citrus zest, and a touch of baking spice, closing clean and aromatic with a silky finish.
Why It Belongs in Privada
Privada exists to tell the stories of rare experiments, forgotten batches, and revolutionary blends — and the CLE Signature THT-EKE 03/17 fits perfectly into that legacy. It’s a glimpse into the mind of Christian Eiroa at his most daring: taking a wrapper known for its delicate African profile and recreating it in Honduran soil. This cigar belongs in Privada because it represents evolution — the courage to blend history, science, and artistry into one unforgettable experience.
