Citadelle Gin Jardin d’Été is a bright, floral, and citrusy French gin inspired by the lush summer gardens of Château de Bonbonnet in the Cognac region. Translating to “Summer Garden,” Jardin d’Été is a vibrant and refreshing take on Citadelle’s classic gin, infused with extra botanicals that evoke sun-drenched orchards and blooming herb gardens.
🍋 Key Botanicals
Alongside Citadelle’s original 19 botanicals, Jardin d’Été features four signature summer additions:
-
Lemon peel
-
Yuzu zest
-
Melon flesh
-
Whole orange
These ingredients add a naturally sweet and zesty dimension without overpowering the gin’s dry, juniper-forward structure.
👃 Nose
Fresh and aromatic with lemon blossom, grapefruit zest, cucumber, and soft juniper. There’s a breezy floral lift with hints of white flowers, melon rind, and orange peel.
👅 Palate
Smooth and vibrant, the palate offers layered notes of lemon verbena, ripe cantaloupe, coriander, and yuzu, with a crisp core of juniper and spice. The mouthfeel is soft and silky, with a touch of natural sweetness.
🔁 Finish
Light, clean, and refreshing with a lingering essence of citrus zest, floral herbs, and a whisper of peppery spice.
🍸 Best Ways to Enjoy
-
Perfect in a classic Gin & Tonic with a lemon or orange twist
-
Elevates a French 75, Tom Collins, or garden-style martini
-
Refreshing sipped neat over ice with a sprig of mint or thyme
🌟 In Summary
Citadelle Jardin d’Été is a sunshine-filled gin that balances botanical elegance with juicy citrus charm. Whether you're lounging in the garden or crafting a cocktail indoors, it’s a gin that brings the brightness of summer to every glass. Lighthearted, versatile, and unmistakably French.
