Introduction
This red wine originates from Chile, primarily from the cool climate subregions of the Casablanca Valley and the Leyda Valley within the Aconcagua region. Cigar Box is a brand dedicated to crafting varietally correct wines from hand harvested old vines that reflect the unique terroir of Chile's coastal valleys. The winemaking philosophy focuses on capturing the bright, juicy fruit of the grapes while integrating subtle complexity through the judicious use of French oak.
Wine Description
Cigar Box Old Vine Pinot Noir presents a medium intensity purplish red or translucent garnet colour. The aromatic profile is expressive, featuring fresh cherries, raspberries, and strawberries mingled with notes of violets, mocha, and cinnamon. On the palate, the wine is medium bodied and silky, showing flavours of juicy red fruits, plum, and a hint of smoky spice or leather. It is characterized by vibrant acidity, soft tannins, and a savory, herbal finish. This 100% Pinot Noir has an ABV of 13.5% and is best enjoyed within its optimal drinking window of now through 2030. While the wine is crafted from hand harvested grapes, it is not certified organic.
