Chicken Cock Chanticleer Cognac Barrel Finished is an American whiskey bottled at 56% ABV in a 750 ml bottle. The whiskey is finished in Cognac barrels, a technique that brings French brandy influence to American whiskey production.
The Cognac influence carries through the glass alongside dried fruit and oak spice, leading into a complex finish. The higher proof keeps the character of the base whiskey intact through the finishing period.
A bourbon-category release for anyone following what barrel finishing can do to a familiar style.
