Crafted in the famed Margaux appellation on the Left Bank of Bordeaux, France, Château Malescot St. Exupéry is a historic 3ème Grand Cru Classé estate celebrated for producing some of the most hedonistic, aromatically complex, and texturally velvety wines in the region. Owned and passionately managed by the Zuger family since 1955, the property bears a storied heritage—once belonging to Count Jean-Baptiste de Saint-Exupéry, great-grandfather of the famed author Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. The estate’s 28-hectare vineyard thrives on deep Pyrenean gravel terraces over chalk and clay subsoils, providing exceptional natural drainage and heat retention. Heavily dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon supported by Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot, the vines yield fruit of intense concentration and sublime perfumed elegance. Meticulously vinified parcel-by-parcel in temperature-controlled vats, the wine matures for 14 to 16 months in fine French oak barrels (approximately 80–100% new). Unfined and unfiltered, Château Malescot St. Exupéry is globally revered for its soaring floral bouquet, opulent black fruit core, and seamless structural harmony.
Food Pairing: Prime dry-aged ribeye steak, roasted rack of lamb, braised beef short ribs, duck breast with cherry reduction, venison tenderloin, truffled wild mushroom risotto, and fine aged French cheeses like Comté or Saint-Nectaire.
