Authentic Mexican Charanda Rum
Charanda Uruapan Añejo represents a unique expression of Mexican rum-making tradition from Michoacán. Unlike traditional cane-based rums, Charanda is crafted from piloncillo (unrefined cane sugar) and aged approximately 18 months in ex-American oak casks. This distinctive spirit showcases the rich heritage of Uruapan's artisanal distilling culture, offering a taste experience that bridges the worlds of rum and agave spirits.
Tasting Profile
Experience bright sunshine and warm brown sugar on the nose, leading to a palate of light tobacco and sweet toffee notes. The natural brightness from the cane pulls through beautifully, creating a clean finish with a golden cane juice afterthought. The oak aging adds subtle complexity while allowing the vibrant character of the piloncillo to shine.
