This exceptional wine is part of our Fine Wine Collection.
Winemaking A swift, cool journey from vine to winery is key to retaining Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon’s innate freshness and flavor. The winemakers meticulously blend and sample varying proportions throughout the winemaking process, ensuring the perfect harmony of the two varietals. This dedication to timeliness, temperature, and balance creates a wine that embodies the quintessential elegance of this classic Bordeaux style.
Vintage Bordeaux’s 2023 white wines are recognized for freshness and fruit. A cold, wet winter replenished underground water reserves and a warm spring prompted timely vineyard blooming. Summer was hot with scattered storms, which kept ripening at a slow and steady pace. Autumn brought heat waves that pushed the grapes to the finish line of plump, beautiful ripeness. This symmetry of sun and rain created excellent conditions for Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon grapes to develop their outgoing fruit flavors and conserve crisp textures.
Pairing Logic This wine’s blend of citrus notes, delicate creaminess, and vibrant acidity makes it an ideal culinary partner. Paired with tender white meats and fish, the wine’s body and fruit notes will shine, especially when accented by salty seasonings and marinades. Its crisp acidity cuts through rich sauces and fried dishes, creating a refreshing sensation on the palate. Vegetarian options, particularly those featuring tangy marinades or caramelized elements, harmonize beautifully with the wine’s vanilla and caramel notes.
