Centennial Limited Edition 10 Year Old Canadian Whisky is a premium aged expression produced by Highwood Distillers in High River, Alberta, Canada. Known for utilizing pure glacier water sourced from the nearby Rocky Mountains and locally grown western Canadian grains, Highwood Distillers crafted this limited-edition release to showcase extended oak maturation within classic Canadian blending traditions. Aged for a full decade, Centennial 10 Year Old offers an elevated, ultra-smooth profile compared to standard 100% rye or wheat-based Canadian mixing whiskies.
2. Spirit Description
Centennial 10 Year Old is distilled primarily from high-grade wheat and rye grown in western Canada, distilled using continuous column stills to create a clean, elegant spirit. The whisky is matured for a minimum of 10 full years in charred American oak barrels in the dry, high-altitude climate of southern Alberta. Master blenders at Highwood then artfully marry select barrels to achieve a harmonious balance of soft vanilla sweetness, light baking spices, and smooth grain depth.
Colour: Bright amber-gold with polished copper reflections.
Aroma: Light, sweet, and approachable, opening with notes of vanilla cream, butterscotch, and toasted oak, followed by subtle orchard fruits (apple and pear) and a light hint of rye spice.
Palate: Exceptionally smooth, light, and silky on the entry. Upfront flavors of caramel, sweet corn, and toasted oak give way to soft cinnamon, honey, and subtle dried fruit.
Body: Medium-bodied with a soft, clean, and rounded mouthfeel.
Finish: Crisp, medium-length, and clean, leaving trailing notes of sweet oak, vanilla, and a gentle peppery warmth.
ABV: Bottled at 40% ABV (80 Proof).
