Wine Description
The 2021 CedarCreek Platinum Haynes Creek Syrah showcases a deep ruby hue, indicative of its concentration. On the nose, it offers an enticing bouquet of ripe blackberries, plums, and violets, interwoven with subtle notes of graphite and cedar. The palate is medium to full-bodied, showcasing a harmonious balance between juicy dark fruit flavours and savoury undertones. Structured with fine-grained tannins and vibrant acidity, the wine culminates in a long, elegant finish. While approachable now, it possesses the potential to develop further complexity over the next 3 to 5 years.
Food Pairing
This versatile Syrah pairs beautifully with grilled lamb chops, roasted duck breast, or a hearty mushroom risotto. For a cheese pairing, consider aged Gouda or a mild blue cheese. These combinations enhance the wine's depth and character, creating an unforgettable dining experience.
