CedarCreek Estate Winery, located on the eastern shore of Okanagan Lake, is a pioneering force in British Columbia’s organic winemaking movement. Established in 1986 and now part of the Von Mandl Family Estates, the winery is recognized for its commitment to regenerative farming and low-intervention practices. The South Kelowna Slopes, recently designated as a sub-GI (Geographical Indication), provide a unique terroir of glacial soils and lake influence that contribute to refined, cool-climate expressions.
Wine Description
This rosé displays a delicate pale salmon hue, reflecting its elegant and restrained style. The nose opens with fresh aromas of wild strawberries, white peach, and rose petals, layered with a touch of citrus zest. On the palate, it is vibrant and dry, offering red berry flavours, subtle watermelon, and a hint of wet stone minerality. Medium-bodied with crisp acidity, the wine finishes clean and refreshing, showcasing finesse and balance. Crafted from Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris, it is best enjoyed young, ideally within 1–2 years of vintage to capture its brightness and purity.
Food Pairing
Pair this lively rosé with grilled prawns, goat cheese salads, or fresh sushi rolls. Its acidity and mineral tension make it equally suitable for creamy pasta dishes or Mediterranean fare. Together, they create an unforgettable dining experience.
